What better party for a five year old who loves spending time playing Minecraft, then a Minecraft party?! When I started thinking about his party I really didn't know where to start but I knew there had to be 'Creepers', green, and cupcakes! It was probably one of the best birthday parties we've had, everyone had the best time...especially the birthday boy!
Thankfully, Party City just recently started carrying a new line that resembles Minecraft, and since I knew I wouldn't have the time or energy to create my own decorations, I was pretty pumped about that. Of course I did look to Pinterest for a few more activity & food ideas and we kind of ran with it. Really ran with it. I came up with the 'Creepers' and Sean thought it would be fun to let the kiddos build their own forts, and well, you'll see how that turned out.
As for the food, I went to Etsy for the food labels and kind of used my imagination. I knew we would need kid-friendly food but also food that was for the adults. We ended up with fruit (apple slices, grapes, & strawberries), pretzels, cube cheese, goldfish, popcorn, cheetos, no-bake cookies, smoked chicken, turkey & cheese sliders, salmon balls, and cupcakes. And the only thing that was really left at the end of the day was the chicken--and we made a lot of chicken.
