A Spring Break Adventure

Thursday, March 30, 2017

Last week was our Spring Break and given we didn't really have a lot of plans, I still wanted to do something out of the norm with Wyatt and Stella. We made some plans with friends to visit the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources for some free and fun entertainment.

The museum was hosting a "Box City" day for kids and I thought it would be fun to do. Thought. I mean it was fine but it only entertained them for about 5 minutes and they were done. The hosts were asking what they created....hmmm...a house??

We decided to pack some lunches and head down to a (somewhat) local arboretum. It has great trails and the flowers were absolutely gorgeous. Wyatt loved leading us through the trails and trying to figure out how to get us back out. ha. And, of course, Stella had to have a "purse". At one point she was carrying two lunch bags.

It was a great day with some new adventures for the kiddos!

Mimi's Visit

Monday, March 27, 2017

Our Spring Break was last week and our Mimi came to visit for a couple of nights. We enjoyed all of her cuddles and playtime. And, of course, we enjoyed our fair share of Sonic treats. Wyatt and Stella loved showing her their favorite park, and Wyatt mastered the big slide while she was here.

We're definitely looking forward to the time we will get with her in a couple of weeks!

{FIVE} Favorite Moments of the Week

Friday, March 10, 2017

This week has been one of those weeks. I'm just plum exhausted. I worked out of the home twice this week which is always so much more exhausting...early mornings and creates more work for the afternoons. But we did manage to have some fun too!

{ONE}

The weather here has been a bit hit or miss. Cool days mixed with warm days, rainy days mixed with some sun. Monday we were kept busy with some indoor fun. Including my least favorite activity...play-doh. ugh.

{TWO}

Wednesday was a beautiful day with sun and warm temps. Stella and I got a little sun on our faces, the first of the season. We spent a couple of hours at the park with friends and then enjoyed some more outdoor time after naps. Well, Stella's nap.

{THREE}

Stella is still loving dance. And I could not pass up the chance to take some pictures of her in her precious attire and pigtails. I was so proud that she actually left her hair alone for most of the day. She just melts my heart.

{FOUR}

I had to pick the kids up early from school on Thursday because Stella was running a fever. Boo. Wyatt was sad to have to leave early but it was really only by about 30 minutes. I treated them with a Sonic lunch and watching Trolls before Stella's nap. Wyatt could hardly wait for her to wake up so they could go outside and play...he actually went into her room while she was still sleeping (thankfully she didn't wake up).

{FIVE}
If you missed it this week, I did actually blog twice this week (THREE with this post)...it may be a record for this new year!

Kids Behind the Blog, March 2017

Wednesday, March 8, 2017

I haven't participated in this fun link-up since July, but I finally got my act
together (sort of) to join the fun!

I videoed Wyatt and Stella separately and, as you can see, they don't have a clue about much of anything. Here were the questions:

1. What's at the end of a rainbow?
2. What do you like to do when it rains? Jump in puddles or play inside?
3. If you found a leprechaun at the end of a rainbow what would you do?
4. Tell me 3 ways you know it's spring time.
5. Do you wear green on St.Patrick's Day? What happens if you don't wear green?

My Everyday Superheroes

Monday, March 6, 2017

Some days just call for throwing on your superhero costumes and protecting the backyard.

 There is a superhero inside all of us, we just need the courage to put on the cape.
