A Weekend Re-Cap

Monday, August 8, 2016

This weekend was definitely a fun one! We didn't start with any plans but life just happens...and sometimes it's fun.

Friday was pretty boring and just a lazy day. We had plans of going swimming but the kids didn't seem very interested. Sean and I enjoyed a movie after bedtime, but that was the extent of our Friday night.

Saturday, on the other hand, was not a lazy day! We had already planned to go to Home Depot, because why not. The kids love running around and it's Sean's favorite store. But, we had no idea what we would find when we arrived. Apparently they have a Kids Workshop on the first Saturday of every month. Wyatt was lured in with the promise of a sword balloon and I was hooked when I saw the aprons!
Of course I did most of the work while Sean ran around the store with Stella. And, as promised, he received a sword balloon at the end. And don't worry, Stella got one too. A pink one. And they were both popped after approximately 3 minutes. Oh, and if you were wondering, it's a "Skateboard Ruler/Pencil Holder". Duh.
We then headed to our favorite pizza place just in time for the lunch parade. The kids love it and it's basically the only restaurant they actually sit and eat. And eat. And eat. I thought they were going to explode. Seriously.

We then headed home for naps while Sean worked on our carport ---> garage conversion. Our garage door should be ready in a couple of weeks and we're so excited!
After naps we enjoyed (I guess you'd say that, even though I feel like I'm dying in my own sweat.) lots of outdoor time.

SUnday the kids and I got up and around for church. Sean had to make another trip to HD and worked on finishing up the carport.

Again we spent the afternoon playing outside and were surprised with some rain, so of course we took advantage and played in it!

Hope you all had a great weekend! Did you do anything fun or exciting??
