Our Weekend

Monday, April 18, 2016

If you follow along with us on social media, or on this blog, then you are fully aware that we've all been sick. Both kids ran fever most of the week and by Friday we were over it.

Friday morning I called our clinic right at 8 and waited to hear back for an appointment. Thankfully we have the best doctor, and friend, and she got us in before 11.

It was basically determined that Wyatt had strep throat and Stella had a very bad sinus infection. For only the second time, ever, both kids were put on antibiotics.

We almost immediately felt better!

I wasn't quite ready to get the kids out and around other people. I really don't like for sick kids to be around mine, so I try really hard not to let mine around others. So we spent the day FaceTiming  (great) Gramma, taking baths, and napping.

But, after only one day on antibiotics, both kids were fever free for an entire day! And Wyatt finally ate two meals in one day...he hadn't eaten very much all week.

We continued to let the kids rest and recuperate.

By Sunday morning I was ready to get out of the house. By this point Sean had worked 6 days straight and wasn't feeling very well, so we left daddy to rest and headed to church.

It was a much needed break from the house and we immediately felt better. Until Wyatt got tired. Exhausted. I called in some take-out and so we had some time to kill before picking it up. During that time a flip switched in Wyatt and he cried screamed for a good 30 minutes.

We got home and he immediately fell asleep and slept for about 3.5 hours. Stella got in a very short nap and then spent some time with mama and daddy.

After Wyatt's nap he felt much better and we spent the rest of the evening outside.

Today we've been spending as much time as possible outside since it's supposed to rain all week. Boo. But I'm happy that we're all at least healthy again, and I'm excited to work on my baby boy's 3rd birthday party this week.
