Weekend Re-Cap

Monday, March 21, 2016

If you saw Friday's post then you know our week was pretty exciting, with all kinds of shenanigans going on around here. And the kids did not disappoint on Friday with keeping things interesting.

{FRIDAY}
Friday was full of park time and play. We ventured to a new park Friday morning and it really may be our new favorite park in the area. We then had to make our weekly Wal-Mart trip but with promises of going back to the park afterwards, if they were good in the store. I, of course, kept my promise and they got a little extra play time. After being there about 5 minutes Wyatt realized he needed a pull-up (which is code for I'm about to poop!) I didn't so much as turn to run to the car when he was literally pooping in the grass. Like a puppy. But I'm chalking it up as a win, because...it wasn't in a pull-up. (I apologize if you already saw that story on Instagram. And if you didn't, you're missing out.)

We spent the rest of the afternoon and evening outside playing and eating good food like mac & cheese.

{SATURDAY}
Saturday the kids and I had big plans of finding Easter outfits and eating lunch at our favorite pizza place. But not before pulling the little Christmas tree from the hall closet. Thanks guys.

We made it through three stores and a dressing room before I was officially calling it done. I did manage to get Stella's dress and a dress for myself. And I found Wyatt some pants but still need to hunt down the perfect shirt.

We headed home to see Daddy for a few minutes before he left for a car meet and the kids went down for naps. The kids and I spent the evening shivering at the park while eating shakes. And trying to convince Wyatt that pooping in the potty is super fun. To no avail.

{SUNDAY}
Sunday morning we got up and around. We ate our new normal Sunday breakfast of cinnamon rolls and got ready for church. It was Palm Sunday but, unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a picture of them with their palms. Womp, womp. But I did manage to snap these before we left!

And my husband was taxed a picture...for something that I won't share. And doesn't he look so happy about it?? ha!

We spent the rest of the afternoon eating, napping, playing with play-doh, watching movies, and ...I think that's about it. Oh, and Sean and I ended the night with TWD, of course.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I'm looking forward to some warmer temps and getting to see my mama soon!!
