We Survived the Weekend....Barely

Tuesday, May 6, 2014

It actually was a pretty great weekend, we just had a few hiccups along the way.

Friday evening Sean was finally home after being away on business for the week, and Wyatt and I could not have been more excited! Even though it was past Wyatt's bedtime, daddy and Wyatt had some much needed playtime.

Saturday morning Wyatt let us sleep in, which was so nice of him! We slugged around and played, and had a relaxing morning.  I then got Wyatt down for his nap and headed off for a pedicure...definitely much needed and deserved after my week alone.  Even better?? I came home to two sleeping boys, ha!
This is where our weekend turned a bit.  See, most of the week Wyatt had been coughing and it was a little mucous-y, we'll call it.  I really didn't think much of it since my sinuses have also been driving me a bit crazy.  After eating his lunch, Wyatt ended up getting sick.  I was pretty sure it was just from all the drainage he was experiencing.  So, that evening we headed over to our friends house for dinner like we had originally planned.  Let Wyatt show off his walking skills and play.  And, then, right as we were about to sit down and eat...it happened again.  All over himself, their carpet, all over me, everywhere. We just put him in the bath, which you can imagine he was thrilled about.  Candi and I joked as we were cleaning up, she said, "People with kids just don't get it." And she's so right.  Luckily, she has 3 kids of her own and this was nothing to her.  Even that being said, I was still pretty mortified at the situation.  So, we quickly scarfed down some dinner and headed home. Of course stopping at the store on the way home for some Pedialyte.

Sunday morning we woke up to a surprisingly happy boy. He wasn't really in the mood for eating or drinking but definitely wanted to play.  So, we all headed outside and enjoyed a day in the sunshine.

And made it through the day without anyone getting sick....until Monday morning at 2am, when it was my turn. yea....Oh, and if you were worried because I hadn't seen Frozen, I've watched it twice now.
