Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 17 Weeks (4/28/14)
Size of baby: 5.1 inches and about 5.9 ounces. Right now our baby is the size of an onion!!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: +/- 10 pounds
Maternity Clothes: I was actually able to wear a pair of non-maternity shorts on Saturday, thankfully, or I probably would have died! While we were in Little Rock I picked up a pair of maternity shorts, so at least I'll have some for Wyatt's party in a couple of weeks.
Gender: Boy, maybe?  We will hopefully find out on May 12th at our ultrasound!!
Movement: I have felt a little movement last night and this morning, but not much.
Food Cravings: Still sub sandwiches and now sweet tea.  Not sure what's up with that, I'm probably just so sick of water.
Food Aversion: None, thank goodness!
What I miss: Not much this week, since I've had my caffeine fix. :)
Sleep: Sleep is great!
Symptoms: Still experiencing round ligament pains when I get up too quickly. I'd guess that my sinuses are prett swollen since I'm experiencing an awful sinus infection.
Best Moment this week: Celebrating Wyatt's first birthday! We had such a fun day!
What I am looking forward to: FRIDAY!! (ie. when Sean gets home)

Wyatt's 1st Birthday {A Re-cap}

Sunday, April 27, 2014

April 26, 2014 could not have been a better day! It was the absolute perfect day of celebration for our Wyatt.  I mean, what else could you ask for....orange rolls, the zoo, Chick-fil-a, and cheesecake.....seems pretty perfect to me!

We started out the day with Pilsbury Orange rolls, presents, and cards!

We then hopped in the car and headed to Little Rock to check out the zoo, and, of course, eat Chick-fil-a. (I'm not going to lie, the zoo was less than impressive and we were dog tired afterwards, but thankfully, our little guy was as happy as ever!)

We then headed home, after a few shopping detours, where Wyatt enjoyed his first tastes of cheesecake (Mama and Dada's favorite!).

Since someone was sugared up and awake, I drug him outside for some adorable last-minute pictures in his adorable outfit! And, I was feeling sad because I hadn't had a picture taken with the birthday boy.

It was such a perfect day and I am looking forward to celebrating our little guy with the rest of the family in a couple of weeks!

12 Months!!

Saturday, April 26, 2014

Wyatt,
I can't even believe it's been a year since you were brought into this world for us!  You are everything (and so much more) that we prayed for in a son.  You are happy, independent, loving, and I can already tell you're going to be a hard worker.  We love you so much Wyatt Haischer and can't wait to see what amazing things you do throughout your life.  Happy birthday, baby boy!
What you did this month:
  • You weigh somewhere around 23 pounds.
  • You are wearing size 3 diapers.
  • You are wearing size 12 months and 12-18 months clothing.
  • You drink about 20 ounces of milk a day.
  • You are now drinking whole milk.  We started mixing it with your formula about two weeks ago to make sure your little body adjusted.
  • You eat solids for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, usually with a snack in the afternoon.
  • Your favorite foods are yogurt, cheese tacos, cheese toast, pureed fruit/veggie pouches, spaghetti, goldfish crackers and the list goes on.  You are a great eater!
  • You are taking naps around 10:00 and 3:00, and you sleep for 1.5 - 2 hours. You go down at night around 7:30, wake once, and then sleep until 7:30/8 in the morning.
  • You have had another healthy month, other than the yucky diaper rash you had for a few weeks. Thanks to teething!
  • You are starting to take steps on your own. You are up to about 8 steps.
  • Your top two teeth finally broke through this month! So now you're up to 4 teeth.
  • You announced to the world that you're going to be a big brother.
  • We celebrated your first Easter.  You definitely enjoyed playing with the eggs but, of course, didn't understand the concept of putting them into your basket.

 AND
 HE'S
 GONE!

Avocado

Friday, April 25, 2014

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 16 Weeks (4/21/14)
Size of baby: 4.6 inches and about 3.5 ounces. Right now our baby is the size of an avocado!!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: +/- 8 pounds :/
Maternity Clothes: I am in full blown maternity pants! Some of my pants I can get away with a rubber band but maternity pants are much more comfortable.  I haven't worn any maternity tops, thanks to my decent Piko top collection. :)
Gender: I really have no idea! I guess, if I had to make a guess, I'd say boy.
Movement: Very little.  When I was having a nervous breakdown about the antibiotics and bacterial infection I was constantly praying that our baby would be OK.  I was definitely reassured one night while laying on the couch by some movement.
Food Cravings: Salads, sandwiches (Sub style)
Food Aversion: None, thank goodness!
What I miss: Definitely caffeine! I'm not going to lie, I've broken down a few times for some good Diet Dr. Pepper and sweet tea.
Sleep: I've been sleeping fine.  I still get up with Wyatt once a night but other than that it's pretty good.  A couple weeks ago there were a few nights where I had trouble getting back to sleep, but since I've quit taking naps everyday that has changed.
Symptoms: I experience round ligament pains when I get up too quickly.  My face looks like a teenagers, thanks to all of the acne.
Best Moment this week: Wyatt's first Easter and sharing our exciting news with family, and the world!
What I am looking forward to: Wyatt's 1st birthday on Saturday!!

First Trimester

Thursday, April 24, 2014

My first trimester was pretty similar to my pregnancy with Wyatt.  I had minimal nausea and was just exhausted.  I was taking at least one nap a day, and the rest of the day I wasn't much use for anything....hence, the lack in blogging.  I started out with an extreme cold, just like with Wyatt.
I started experiencing round ligament pains pretty early on, mainly when I get up too quickly, which I definitely didn't have with Wyatt, at least not this early.  I have noticed that I haven't gained as much weight this time around. I think it could definitely have something to do with keeping up with a  23 pound little boy everyday. :)

We had our first appointment on April 2nd, I was about 13 weeks.  We were able to hear the heartbeat which definitely eased any fears.  Until that afternoon when I got a call from the nurse telling me I had a bacterial infection (pretty similar to a yeast infection) and, of course, like an idiot I took to Google and freaked myself out.  Well, I'd say more than freaked myself out, I was pretty much a blubbering mess for a few days.  Thankfully I have a mother who has OB/GYN friends and a  patient nurse who takes my phone calls every other day, and so far everything seems to be going along just perfectly.

February 3, 2014

Wednesday, April 23, 2014

On February 3, 2014 our little world changed.
I woke up that Monday morning pretty excited and anxious, even for a mama who had spent half of the night sleeping on the couch.  I had been having the feeling that I was pregnant for several days but was trying to wait as long as possible before taking a test.  (Warning, TMI ALERT... See, usually the week before my period starts I have quite a bit of spotting, but this week was different, there had been nothing.)  It was the same way when I found out I was pregnant with Wyatt so my suspicions were high.  Luckily I woke up that morning before Wyatt so I had a little time to myself.  I took the test, and sure enough, two pink lines showed up.  I was so excited, I couldn't stop smiling and just saying thank you!
Sean and I hadn't necessarily been trying, but we also hadn't been taking preventative measures.  We knew we wanted our kiddos close in age, and had plans to start trying when Wyatt turned one.  I mean, I'm not sleeping now so why not just continue that trend (totally kidding, sorta).
Wyatt woke up shortly and, of course, I couldn't keep it a secret from him. I was so excited, saying, you're going to be a big brother (you can imagine his excitement)!!  We went about our morning routine and I got him down for his nap.  I knew I wanted to SURPRISE Sean, like I did when I was pregnant with Wyatt, and I had the perfect idea! There's a store in town that has BIG BROTHER tees, so I knew that was our first stop after Wyatt's nap. Sadly, they were completely out of the one I was looking for, so I went on to plan B....make it myself.  I had some iron-on transfers from another project so I got busy making that during Wyatt's afternoon nap. I also framed the pregnancy test, just like I did with Wyatt's.
When Sean got home from work I had Wyatt sitting in his booster seat, ready to surprise!
I actually recorded Sean as he came in the door, and, of course, he was over the moon excited!

Wyatt's 1st Easter {WARNING: PICTURE OVERLOAD}

Tuesday, April 22, 2014

Easter weekend was a full weekend for our little, growing family! We made our way to NWA for some wonderful family time and to share our BIG NEWS! Our first stop was Friday afternoon in Van Buren.  We visited with Pa and Gramma before making our way over to my dad's for some visiting.

After some dinner we headed on to Fayetteville.  We woke up bright and early Saturday for the Fayetteville Farmer's Market!  Wyatt was super excited about all of the puppies and music! And don't mind the goldfish crackers stuck to his chin, ha!

Saturday afternoon we enjoyed an Easter egg hunt with Aunt Tiff and  Jax, followed by a great dinner with family!

Sunday we were up bright and early for the morning church service.  Sean and Wyatt enjoyed some playtime on the front lawn instead. ;)

We then headed over to Sean's sisters house to visit and tell his family our news.

^^^And several failed attempts at a picture of all four cousins.^^^

All in all we had a great weekend surrounded by family! I'm so happy to finally have our news out, and I promise my next post will have baby #2 details!
