11 Months!!

Wednesday, March 26, 2014

Wyatt,
It's so hard to believe that our little baby boy is 11 months old!! Time is absolutely flying by and I need it to stop.  In just a few short weeks you will be ONE YEAR, AAGHHHH!! I know I say it every month, but this age is definitely my favorite.  You have such the personality and people are attracted to you.  You do have a shy side but you usually warm up pretty quickly.  We love you so much!!
What you did this month:
  • You weigh 21 pounds, 15 ounces.
  • You are wearing size 3 diapers.
  • You are wearing size 12 months and 12-18 months clothing.
  • You drink about 20 ounces of formula everyday.
  • You eat solids for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, usually with a snack in the afternoon.
  • Your favorite foods are yogurt, cheese tacos, cheese toast, and apple/carrot muffins (thanks, Rach!).
  • You are taking naps around 10:00 and 3:00, and you sleep for 1.5 - 2 hours. You go down at night around 7:30, wake once, and then sleep until 7:30/8 in the morning.
  • Thank goodness, you've been super healthy this month! (Knock on wood!)
  • You are starting to walk while holding onto things, such as the couch and your wagon.
  • Occasionally you will let go of things and stand on your own, but no steps yet.
  • You love to yell/scream.  It's definitely a happy sound....for you.
  • Your favorite game is Da-da, where are you? I say it and then you intensely search the house until you find da-da. (Don't worry, I'm not mean, we only do it when he's home.)
  • You make word connections with: da-da, bottle, kitty cat, (sometimes) book, Mickey Mouse, balloon, & outside.
  • You have started "throwing temper tantrums".  You lay on the floor on your belly and whine/cry.  We really can't help but laugh at you.  You only do it when you're not getting what you want.
  • You absolutely love to be outside.
  • You attended your first group "daycare".  Thankfully it was at church and I don't think you were put down the entire time.
  • You met your cousin April this month.

Liebster Award

Tuesday, March 25, 2014

OH.MY.GOSH, Y'ALL!! I have been such a bad blogger lately....life is happening.  Well, about a month ago I was so generously nominated by Cassie from CUTE TOT ON THE BLOCK for the Liebster Award.  You definitely need to check her out...she has the latest info on great bargains for kids clothes and she has some pretty great giveaways!
Since I've been nominated for Liebster Awards three times before (HERE, HERE, & HERE), and I'm running a month behind schedule, I'm just going to answer her questions, so enjoy!

1. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Europe, specifically Paris.
2. What was the last good book you read? HA! I honestly couldn't tell you the last book that I read.  I need to change that ASAP!
3. Where is your favorite place to shop for yourself? GAP
4. What is your guilty pleasure? TV....I could sit and watch it all day...it's bad.
5. What's your favorite breakfast item? French toast, hands down!
6. If you could have your dream career tomorrow without having to go back to school, what would it be? Honestly, that's really tough.  I love what I do right now and don't think I could change that tomorrow.  Ask me again in 5 years.
7. Who is your celebrity doppelganger?

You tell me, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this! :)

8. Who inspires you?
Definitely my mom.  She has the best heart of anyone I know.
9. How many countries have you been to? Besides the US, one, Canada.
10. Describe the style of your home. It's definitely a casual eclectic style.  We have a hodgepodge of miscellaneous furniture from everywhere, and definitely nothing real fancy.
11. What do you hope to cross off your to-do list this year? Our complete list of remodels for the house! (More on that soon!)

5 on Friday {Our Week}

Saturday, March 15, 2014

We have had a full and busy week in our house.  I'd like to be able to say that I might get some downtime this weekend, but sadly I don't see that happening.

--ONE--
On Tuesday we had an awesome opportunity to meet up with my cousin in Little Rock.  She was in town for the night for an interview and we couldn't pass up the chance for her and Wyatt to meet.  April's like a sister to me and we only see each other about once every two years. As you can see, Wyatt enjoyed her just a little. We love our April!

--TWO--
It's never an easy week when Sean works long hours.  I'm so used to having him home by 6 to help keep Wyatt entertained and give me break, but this week I've had no such luck.  The weekend isn't looking much better, either...BOO!

--THREE--
Luckily, we've had some amazing weather so that has definitely helped with the long days. Plus, it's a great way of wearing Wyatt out!
--FOUR--
The paper I ordered for some of Wyatt's birthday party decor came in this week!! I'm so excited to finally get started on all of my ideas.  I ordered both of these from Stuff 4 Scrapbooking.

Red Dot/Stripe Sn@p! Color Vibe Double-Sided Cardstock 12"X12" SNAPCV12-2828

--FIVE--
So excited about my new Southern Trend tee!!  Gettin' me ready for Spring!

This is my FIVE, what's yours? Link-up!!

I Love

Wednesday, March 12, 2014

I love how I can say "raise your arms" and you know to raise your arms so I can take your shirt off before your bath.
I love that I walked into the bathroom to find you sitting on your daddy's lap while he was on the toilet, y'all were reading a magazine.
How you are able to make connections between words that I say and objects. For instance, stir, stir, stir and you go to your mixing bowl.
I love our middle of the night cuddles. As much as I'd love for you to sleep through the night, I'm going to miss that time together one day.
I love how much you love your books.
I love to watch you step out of your pants when undressing before your bath.
I love how you follow your daddy through the house when he gets home.
I love watching you try to pour water on your head, your arms just aren't that quite coordinated yet.
I love how excited you get when you see other kids. It doesn't matter how old, you act like they're your best friend.
How you bounce your legs up and down when I say "shake your booty".
I love that you enjoy watching musical scenes out of movies.  You'll know all of the songs in Mary Poppins before long!
I love when we dance around the living room together.
I love how you turn and smile at me when I say "Wyatt, look at mama", even though you know I'm about to tell you not to do something.
I love your uncoordinated clapping.
That you think Mister is playing with you when he's batting at your hands. When in reality he just doesn't want you touching him.
I love how much you want to be outside, I just wish it were warmer for you.
I love that I can make you laugh. There was a time when I was the last person you would laugh for.
I love that you have an internal clock that automatically know when it's bathtime.
How you high-five your daddy.
I love how you were laying on your belly watching Mickey Mouse the other night. You looked so grown up.

Wyatt, I love so many things about you right now, I want to try and remember as much as I can. This has definitely been the best stage so far of watching you grow.

Our Weekend {Daffodils, Steak, & Mimi}

Monday, March 10, 2014

We had a very busy, but fun, weekend! It started on Friday when Mimi came down for a visit.  We always love a visit from our Mimi! Of course, Wyatt was already in bed when she got here so he had to wait until the morning to see her.

Saturday was also the start of the Camden Daffodil Festival.  {Yes, we do actually have daffodils everywhere!}  And Sean was also on a team for the annual steak cook-off.

Sean had to be up there bright and early to start prepping and cooking.  It's an all day event with all kinds of snacks and appetizers, followed by steaks.  Mom, Wyatt, and I headed up later and did some shopping and eating.  Then we headed to the house for naps.  I went back up later to show some moral support for my chef, while Mimi and Wyatt played.

Since Sean was still cooking, Mom, Wyatt and I went to dinner and Sean met up with us afterwards. By the end of the day we were all beat so we headed home for some restful TV watching.

Sunday came way too early with the awful time change.  I don't know about y'all, but I'm still feeling it today...ugh!  We cooked up some breakfast and then Mom got on the road, BOO!  The rest of the day was pretty lazy, except for a little break for some outside time.  Sean and I watched Catching Fire and Dallas Buyers Club.  Obviously, Dallas Buyers Club was amazing and, well, Catching Fire entertained us for a bit at least.

The rest of this week, I'm convinced, will be spent catching up on rest.  But we do have some great weather for a bit so I'm excited about that, Wyatt will be too! Hope you had a great weekend too!
