our weekend

We had an absolute fabulous weekend! Maybe could have gotten a little more sleep, but, hey, that's the sign of a great weekend, right??  Like I said on Friday, my mom and Russell came down Friday evening for the weekend.  It was so nice having them here since there was so much to do in order to prep for Sean's non-birthday party.  You would have thought that Wyatt knew exactly what was happening.  Friday night he refused to go to sleep, he just wanted to stay up and play, and of course, wait on Mimi and Pop.  He did finally go down but then he woke up about 30 minutes after they arrived...stinker!

Most of Saturday was spent preparing food and finishing up the decorations for the party.  Thankfully we had help because, of course, on the day we need Wyatt to nap....he didn't feel like it.  (Oh, and we now know that his top two teeth are coming in, that 's what has been troubling our little man.) We also kept our fingers crossed that the rain would eventually stop so we wouldn't have all 17 people in the house at once.  It turned out being really nice and I think everyone had a great time.  I'll do a separate post covering all of the details another day this week.

Sunday we awoke to perfect fall weather.  Mom and I bundled Wyatt up and took a walk, which also got him to sleep.  Then we came back and ate a delicious brunch.  Sadly, we then had to help Mimi and Pop pack up their belongings and get on the road, but we know we will see them again soon!

Sean and I spent the rest of the day, lazily, on the couch watching Orange is the New Black on Netflix.

Sami's Shenanigans

Hope y'all had a great weekend, and maybe enjoyed a little of the fall weather in your area!

They know just when you need them to take a good nap and then dash all yours hopes. He is so cute bundled up. Makes me really wish it wasn't hot hot hot in FL - somebody send a cold front!
