I'm involved in a group known as PAWE (Professional Association of Women Educators) and in December we held a brunch and silent auction to raise funds for one of our missions. One of the items up for grabs was a Dessert-of-the-Month "club". My month was actually March and I made, what looked to be, a delicious chocolate cake (I don't actually know since I'm not the one who got to eat it!). But I thought I'd share the recipe anyway! (Hopefully I'll have time and energy to actually make one for us soon!)
Ingredients:
- 1 (18.25 ounce) package of Devil's Food Cake mix
- 1 (5.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 Cup Sour Cream
- 1 Cup Vegetable Oil
- 4 Eggs
- 1/2 Cup warm water
- 2 Cups Semisweet Chocolate Chips
- Duncan Hines Chocolate Glaze
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a large bowl, mix together the cake and pudding mixes, sour cream, oil, beaten eggs, and water. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Pour into a well greased 12 cup bundt pan.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until top is springy to the touch and a wooden toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool cake thoroughly in pan at least and hour and a half before inverting onto a plate.
- Drizzle top with chocolate glaze (or dust with powdered sugar).
