Nursery: Phase 2

As I had imagined, not much was done on our 3-day weekend last week.  We were too tired from all of the running around Saturday and Sunday, Monday we just relaxed.  This weekend we Sean finally got the room painted.  I love how the color turned out on the wall!  I'm hoping during the week this week we'll Sean will get some of the flooring down.  We're going to need a place for all of Wyatt's goodies he'll be receiving this coming weekend!

Eggplant

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 28 Weeks (1/24/13)

Size of baby: 14.8 inches and about 2.5 pounds! Right now our baby is the size of an eggplant!!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: +/- 27 pounds...

Maternity Clothes: I'm definitely wearing maternity clothes!

Gender: BOY!!...Wyatt Haischer (Hi-sure) Dorey!!

Movement: He has really been kicking a lot! He's now started kicking when I lay down at night. I do love to feel him but it does make it a little harder to sleep. :)

Food Cravings: Still no cravings

Food Aversion: Not really

What I miss: Sleeping on my back

Sleep: I've been sleeping much better...thankfully!
Symptoms: Having some back pain, indigestion, maybe early signs of nesting....but it's starting in my classroom
Best Moment this Week: Getting Wyatt's room painted!!
What I am Looking Forward To: My shower next weekend! And getting the floors started in Wyatt's room!

Rutabaga

How Far Along: 27 Weeks (1/17/13)

Size of baby: 14.8 inches and about 2.5 pounds! Right now our baby is the size of a rutabaga!!

Holiday Weekend

This weekend we:

 

Were surprised with our rocker!! It has been passed down in our family and mom had it reupholstered for Wyatt's room!

Bought flooring and paint for Wyatt's room!! Not saying we did anything in his room but at least we now have the stuff. :)

 

Went for a check-up and I had my glucose test...which I found out today I passed!!

Nursery: Phase 1

Well, we have finally started working on the nursery and so far so good!  We were wanting to put wood flooring in all the bedrooms and since Wyatt's room was pretty much empty we decided to start with his.  Don't ask me how we're going to do it in all of the other rooms...

So the carpet is now completely ripped out and we have paint samples on the walls.  After looking at three colors we decided on Light French Gray from Sherwin Williams.  Picking a gray was much harder than I thought it would be.........they're either to blue or, as in our case, much too purple. These are just a few pictures from our progress so far.  We're hoping to get some more done with the holiday weekend....we'll see how that goes!

 

And I realize there are clothes hanging up....I have to wash them all anyway, so.

We're going with the color on the far right, not the purple. :)

Head of Lettuce

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 26 Weeks (1/10/13)

Size of baby: 14 inches and about 1.75 pounds! Right now our baby is the size of a head of lettuce!!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: +/- 22 pounds...

Maternity Clothes: I'm definitely wearing maternity clothes! My favorite is my leggings.

Sleep: Sleep is hit or miss.  Some nights I sleep great and some nights I feel like all I do is toss and turn.
Symptoms: Having some back pain, shortness of breath/lightheaded, some indigestion off and on, and some some sleeplessness.
Best Moment this Week: Getting started on Wyatt's room.  We got the carpet pulled out and the paint picked out.
What I am Looking Forward To: Going to Fayetteville/Van Buren for a quick weekend trip.

Size of baby: 13.5 inches and about 1.5 pounds! Right now our baby is the size of a cauliflower!!

Christmas #3

Our final Christmas was spent in Fayetteville on Christmas Day.  We always spend Christmas morning with my mom and family, we open presents and eat a delicious lunch!  This year there was a little more to be excited about since there were babies.  It's amazing how our family has gone from 0 to 3 babies in one year...and next year there will be 4!!

Christmas #2

Christmas #2 was spent at Mark & Faith's (BIL & SIL).  It's become a tradition in the past couple of years to spend Christmas Eve night with them for dinner and do presents with Sean's immediate family.  It was a very bittersweet Christmas this year.  We were very happy to be together and remember Mark (Sean's dad) but of course sad that he wasn't there with us.

Christmas #1

Our first Christmas was at my grandparent's house on Christmas Eve.  It's a tradition to eat lunch together and then open our gifts as a family!  It's a great time to see and visit with so many family members we don't often get to see throughout the year.

Cantaloupe

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 24 Weeks (12/27/12)

Size of baby: 11.8 inches and about 1.5 pounds! Right now our baby is the size of a cantaloupe!!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: +/- 18 pounds...

Maternity Clothes: I'm definitely wearing maternity clothes! My favorite is my leggings.

Gender: BOY!!...Wyatt Haischer (Hi-sure) Dorey!!

Movement: He has really been kicking a lot this week!  I've even been able to see it a few times.  He seems to really enjoy movies because he really starts kicking in the the theaters. 

Food Cravings: Still no cravings....I do enjoy a good hamburger and french fries. :)

Food Aversion: Not really...still avoiding hummus, just in case.

What I miss: Sleeping on my back! Sean's even having to tell me to turn over....

Sleep: I'm looking forward to catching up on some sleep after the holidays!!
Symptoms: Still having back pain and I also started having leg cramps this week...they wake me up at night...grrrrr...
Best Moment this Week: Finally revealing Wyatt's name!! and spending time with family over the holidays.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm loving my long Christmas/Winter break! We had a great week with family and it's been nice spending a week at home!

I'm loving that our sweet little boy finally has a name, Wyatt Haischer!

I'm loving that we have started cleaning out Wyatt's future room!

I'm loving that Wyatt has some showers planned in the next couple of months!

I'm loving some of the gear Wyatt got for Christmas, including his car seat and baby video monitor!  It's becoming more real for us now!

As you can see we're really just loving Wyatt right now! :)
