Beer Brats

This past weekend, while my mom was in town, I made beer brats. 
It's a very simple meal that's perfect for eating while watching football!

  • 6 cans of beer
  • 1/2 onion - chopped
  • 2 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 10 brats
  • 10 buns

  1. Start the grill and get it heated to medium heat.  
  2. Bring the 6 cans of beer and onions to a boil.    
  3. Place the 10 brats, pepper flakes, black pepper, and garlic powder in the boiling beer and continue to boil for about 12 minutes.
  4. Take brats out of the beer and put on the grill until desired crispness (about 10 minutes).
  5. Serve with baked beans or chips & dip/salsa.
