He's All Grown Up

Saturday, May 28, 2011

Thursday, May 19th my little brother graduated from high school.  It's kind of a big deal, considering he's the youngest on my mom's side of the family.  We were so excited!

Our crazy blended family (minus Jared & Jennifer).

There's Jared!

Sisters!
Friday I spent the day with mom and my Aunt Becky.  We did some shopping and went to see Bridesmaids.  It was hysterical!! It was even funnier because of who I was seeing it with.
Saturday Sean & I had lunch with Jared and Coo.  It was nice because we so rarely get to see either of them.  Then we went had some dessert at Little Bread (where Cody works).  If you live in the Fayetteville area you MUST try out Little Bread, it's so delicious.  They have salads, sandwiches, & awesome pastries.  It's off the square on Block St. Anyway, we said our goodbyes and got sad and talked about when we would be back in town.

If you couldn't already tell, I'm a little crazy about my little brother.

Campin' & Bikin'

Sunday, May 8, 2011

A couple of weekends ago Sean and I went camping with some friends of ours.  We went to a site called Lincoln Parish Park.  It's on the outskirts of Ruston, LA, about an hour & a half from us.  It's a really nice campground with a highly rated 10 mile bike trail.  Saturday morning the guys went while we stayed and watched the kiddos.  When they got  back I was a little nervous because of how tired they were.  I knew if they were that worn out, I don't even know what I would be.  So we set out on the trail.  Surprisingly we made it a little under 7 miles before heading back.  Sean is still proud that I made it that far.  Tired doesn't even begin to state how I was feeling.  My bottom hurt for about a week after that bumpy ride. . .I'll definitely be investing in some bike shorts before the next ride.

The truck all loaded up. . .and Angel of course.
The view from our campsite.
The kiddos enjoyed Angel's crate much more than she did.
Sadie and Angel. . . Angel's first camping trip!
(Doesn't she look thrilled??)

Easter

This year for Easter we decided to stay in Camden.  It kind of worked out, even though, I was pretty sad about it.  All of our closest friends in Camden stayed for the weekend too so we had a HUGE Easter lunch.  I was pretty proud of myself.  Sean and I baked a ham, made baked mac & cheese, gravy, green beans, and rolls.  Candi brought the mashed potatoes, Tiffany brought the salad, and Toni brought dessert.  There was so much food!! Sean and I ate ham for a week!  It was nice just to be around friends for the day and not have to worry about missing family. HA! We had a little Easter egg hunt for C&E.  C really enjoyed it but E could have cared less. She was more interested in the rocks and flowers.  She actually picked up an egg and threw it back down on the ground. All in all it was a fabulous Easter with good food and good friends!
