Our Weekend

As much as I was looking forward to the weekend, it ended up not being all that great. How do kids know when it's the weekend? And why do they insist on not sleeping? We pretty much went through the weekend with no sleep. Not fun.

Friday evening Stella and I went to dinner with two of my girlfriends. It was so nice to have some girl talk and not have to worry about dinner or two kids. Plus, I got to enjoy one of my favorite meals, Salmon Caesar salad and fried pickles. Yep.

Saturday morning we were up early after being up most the night with one or both kids. Wyatt has learned to open his door and it's made some nights difficult. I think we finally have the problem fixed though so next week is looking promising for sleep. Ha.

We made it through the day though. The kids and I were fairly lazy while daddy spent some alone time working on his car and cleaning up his shop. Wyatt and I joined him for a while when Stella napped.

Doing bedtime routines with two kiddos is sometimes a daunting task. Some nights are just tough getting them both ready for bed and down for the night. I usually lay Stella in Wyatt's bed while I get his jammie's and diaper on him. I took this picture after they were both clean and happy. Melt. My. Heart.

Saturday night was another night with little to no sleep. I was basically up Sunday at 3:30 between all the wake ups. We did manage to get our act together and get to church.

Sean and Wyatt spent the afternoon outside working in the dirt and being boys. I tried to get some chores done and, of course, take a few pictures of Stella. I find it hard not to take her picture.

And that was pretty much our weekend. What were yall up to? Looking forward to watching Game of Thrones tonight!
