6 Months!!

Our Dearest Stella,

You are growing, growing, growing!! You're such a happy little girl and we love every second with you. You and Wyatt are starting to interact more, you're always trying to get his attention, and it just makes my mama heart so happy. We can't believe you are half way to being a year old. It some ways it seems like you've always been with us and in others I feel like you were just born. We're going to try and keep you little as long as possible. We love you, baby girl!

 

What you did this month:

• You are weighing about 13 pounds and roughly 24 inches long.

• You are wearing size 3/6M clothes. You wear size 6M in pajamas, we're about to break out the 6/9M. 
• You are wearing size 2 Pampers Swaddlers.
• You nurse every 2-3 hours during the day and 3-4 hours at night.
• You are napping much better this month. You take a morning nap around 10 for an hour to hour and a half. Then you take an afternoon nap around 2 for about 2 hours.
• You go to bed around 7:30 at night and you don't really have a consistent sleep pattern. You're usually awake around 8 in the mornings.
• You are now sleeping in the Nap Nanny on the floor. You came down with a cold and couldn't breathe through your nose, so sleeping propped up helped and we just haven't switched back yet.
• You're doing really well at sitting up on your own. I can usually prop you up, surrounded by pillows and your toys, and you're happy for a little while. You still like the bumbo seat too.
• You're still pretty lazy when it comes to rolling over. You'll lay on your side and stretch for things but never actually roll over.
• You started eating some solids this month. We started with rice cereal mixed with breast milk, then avocado (which you didn't care for much), and now we're on carrots. We also give you food to suck and chew on, like crispy bread crust (your favorite), carrots, and apples.
• You are becoming a tough little girl. You love when Wyatt sits on you and "wrestles" you. It scares me to death but you just laugh. You're also a little grabber and pincher.
• You love when mommy sings and rocks you to sleep.
• You celebrated your first Easter this month. You enjoyed sucking and chewing on the plastic eggs, that's about it.
• You also attended your first two church services.
• Mimi and Pop came to visit twice this month.
