We've had Vacation Bible School (VBS) at our church this week and the theme has been Shake It Up Cafe.
Since it's a cooking theme, all of our decorations have to do with kitchens and items used in kitchens.
This is what the hallway, where all of the classes are held, looks like. We hung kitchen utensils from the ceiling and wrote the classroom names on cookie sheets. It turned out so cute!
My friend, Candi, and I have been in charge of teaching science. All of the activities have involved food. One of the activities below is a taste test. The kids tasted mustard, ketsup, and bbq sauce and tried to identify which was which without looking. They had to taste it once while holding their nose and then again not. It's been really fun seeing my kiddos from the past two years, and meeting students that I may have next year!
